Abstract

The purpose of implementing community service (PKM) through the kuliah kerja mahasiswa (KKM) team is to be directly involved in the community to find, learn, get to know the potential of the target community, organize the community, solve, overcome and find solutions to problems by fostering motivation to utilize their potential. Family monitoring and stunting prevention efforts are the current focus of PKM. with PKM partners are teenagers from the community of Bojongpedes village, Sukabumi Regency, and especially pregnant and postpartum women. The method of implementing PKM is carried out by observation, socialization and education, the implementation stage of activities and evaluation. The results of the implementation of this PKM activity were able to increase understanding of the importance of preventing stunting in brides-to-be, pregnant women, and postpartum mothers. The results of this fairly short mentoring were also able to raise awareness about the importance of efforts to avoid stunting, encourage and help facilitate pregnant women to do ANC routinely according to the provisions and have a KIA book. Increasing awareness of pregnant women and breastfeeding mothers to remain disciplined in a healthy lifestyle by paying attention to nutritional intake and reproductive health, as well as encouraging the fulfillment of exclusive breast milk intake from 0-6 months, and increasingly aware of the importance of balanced and varied nutrition at the age of >6 months, and ensuring the willingness to follow the schedule of health checks and toddler growth consistently at the local Posyandu.
