Abstract

Stunting is a nutritional problem due to malnutrition for a long time. To suppress the occurrence of this phenomenon, of course, attention is needed from various parties in suppressing the incidence of stunting that occurs in this country. Where, foods that contain high protein such as tempeh can be given to toddlers in an effort to prevent stunting, and can even be given since they are still in the womb. Tempeh can be an alternative that can be used optimally to help prevent stunting, because tempeh has a high protein vegetable source. For the application and raising awareness of the benefits of food intake from tempeh with various variations of processed foods that are more attractive and improve the taste such as served in the tempeh nugget menu variance, there is a need for continuous socialization and education to the community. This Community Service (PKM) is to provide education about tempeh as a source of protein to prevent stunting todiligent tempeh farmers in Kebonpedes Village, Sukabumi. The method of implementing PKM is carried out by socialization and education, the implementation stage of activities and evaluation. The results of the implementation of the activity can increase the knowledge of the community who are PKM partners, namely increasing knowledge about the nutritional content of tempeh as a source of protein to prevent stunting, and can even be processed as a more attractive food menu variance such as being used as tempeh nuggets.
